TFT: Teach Kids About the Resurrection

April 2, 2023

Dear LEFC Parents,

“Holy week” is upon us. May this be a time that each of our families slow down and remind ourselves what God has done for us through the sacrificial death and victorious resurrection of our Lord.

Here are some things to keep in mind this week:

Search Begins for Director of Family Ministry

Last Sunday, the congregation unanimously approved a new part-time staff position to lead our LEFC Family Ministries into the future. We are excited about the potential impact of this position on the discipleship of children, youth, and parents in the years to come. Please pray for the Elders as they begin to organize their search for a candidate to present to the church family down the road.

No Snack and Yack on Resurrection Sunday

We are continuing our Snack and Yack sermon-interaction times with young people and the LEFC Elders, but there will be no Snack and Yack after worship on Resurrection Sunday. Have your kid fill out at handout and discuss it with them yourself at Easter lunch!

The Gospel Project at Home

Today’s Bible Study is “God Is Good to Give Grace” (Volume 3, Unit 11, Session 5). Ask your kids what they learned in children’s church this morning and/or do the family devotional you can find at this link.

And for Dessert…

Our family discipleship resource of the week is a round-up of resources for families to prepare for Resurrection Sunday. The list from The Gospel Coalition is divided up between storybooks and other tools. Of course, the most important thing is to be intentional, make a plan, and actually do it.

The point of Easter is not a big bunny or baskets with eggs and chocolates. Jesus is alive!

We hope your family eats it up.
