TFT: A Resource Just for Moms
Dear LEFC Parents,
Here are some nourishing items to set the table for disciple-making in your family this week:
Advent is Quickly Approaching!
The season of advent will be here soon, beginning on December 1st. Have you thought about what your family might do to celebrate this season? We encourage all families to spend special time together at home engaging in discussion, crafts, readings, etc. to prepare their hearts for the coming of Christ! Need ideas? One place to start could be the website listed in the dessert section below!

If you haven’t already, check out the Fall Retreat recap video created by Joe Quick to get a glimpse into the fun that was had!
New Family Ministries Page
To keep The Family Table concise and relevant to you, we’ve created a brand new page on our website to house much of the content that is static or changes infrequently. There, you can now find all of the information about our nursery, Kids Bible Classes, Youth Group, how to contact Jordyn, and The Gospel Project at Home explainer. We will also post some of our Family Ministries news, updates, and events there. As an added benefit, this makes it easier to relay this information to friends and family who might want more information before visiting our church. Check out the new page here!
“Jacob and Esau” Kids Bible Class Devotional
You have free access to a family devotional based on the curriculum our kids are studying each week in KBC! It’s called “The Gospel Project at Home.” Today’s Bible Study is “Jacob and Esau” (Volume 1: Unit 3: Session 1), and the devotional can be found at this link.
Scroll down to the bottom of this email for more information about how to access The Gospel Project at Home.
And for dessert…
This week’s recommendation is one specifically for moms, the ministry of Risen Motherhood. The goal of Risen Motherhood is to “help moms connect their faith to their motherhood.”
I (Jordyn) first found them through their podcast, which contains over 200 episodes of helpful content for moms connecting faith to topics like social media, body image, friendships, seasons of motherhood, miscarriage, mom guilt, parenting special needs children, and so much more! I’ve listened to most of their episodes and in each one have found helpful insights that resonate with me as a mom and encourage and equip me in the role of motherhood. My favorite part of their content is that they bring together different perspectives on a topic and point it to our ultimate truth and hope: the gospel.
Alongside their podcast, founders Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler have published several books, some for kids and some for moms, and have content on their website and Instagram. On their website, you’ll find a bunch of free resources along with recommendations for other resources for different ages, topics, and seasons, such as Advent. Sadly, the ministry will officially be concluding in April but their content will be available long after for access, so don’t let that stop you from benefiting from this ministry. I highly recommend all moms check them out via their podcast, website, or Instagram.
We hope your family eats it right up.
