I wish we were gathering together for worship in our building on our campus this Sunday. Sadly, we are not, and it currently seems that we may be in for a longer wait until it is wise and loving to gather in large groups once again. The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. May the name of the Lord be praised.
You’re going to notice a reoccurring theme in this worship guide – joy. As we dive more deeply together into Paul’s letter to the Philippians in the weeks to come, we’re going to be repeatedly reminded to rejoice in the Lord. So it’s time to get started now!
I don’t know what 2021 has in store for us. I’m generally optimistic by nature, but I’m learning to be realistic, too. If this last year taught us anything, it should have taught us to be cautious in making too many predictions and to not hold on too firmly to our own plans (James 4:13-15)!
