Church Family News

Facilities Team Meeting
There will be a facilities team meeting held on Tuesday, June 11^th at 7:00pm at LEFC. Please see George Leathers if you have any questions.

Sound System Volunteers
Maria is looking for a few more volunteers to help with sound on Sunday mornings for service. If you are interested in helping, please let Maria or Jenni know and they will get you on the schedule!

Challenge Family Meeting
If your child is going to Challenge this year, plan to stay for the meeting after church on June 16^th. We will be giving out information on final plans and answering any questions. Students are also asked to stay and help clean out the thrift shop, as it closes that day as well.

CHRISTMAS TREES NEEDED!
The Family Bible Week Decorators are in need of Christmas Trees to go along with this year’s majestic pine coastline!  All sizes of GREEN trees can be used. The trees will be tagged with your name and returned to you following FBW week. Please place trees (marked with your name) in the Fellowship Hall.

Flyers & Posters for Events
There are flyers & posters on the table in the foyer for our upcoming events. Take a few today and spread them around the community!

Pastor Matt On Vacation
Pastor Matt is out of the office and will return on Wednesday, June 19^th. Please contact Keith Folmar or Jenni English while Pastor Matt is out, and they will be able to assist you.

Challenge Thrift Shop
The FREE thrift shop will be open Tuesday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm, as well as Sunday mornings after service until June 16^th. Stop in and check out what we have!

Our Daily Bread
Large print copies for July, August, and September are now available in the foyer and by the Community Bulletin Board.

LEFC T-Shirts
A sample of the shirt is on the table in the foyer with the sign-up sheet. Orders are due by June 21^st. Check Facebook for a direct link to order!

Giving Opportunities
Designated giving funds are open for Challenge Conference, Malawi trip, summer camp, and deaconess compassion fund to help those in need within our church family. Please mark your gifts and drop them in the offering plate.

Offering
Thank you for continuing to support our ministries and missionaries. The offering plates are available at the back of the auditorium. Gifts can also be mailed to the church or given electronically through your bank’s bill pay program or through online platforms: PayPal and Venmo. Our account address is churchoffice@lansefree.org. Church Office
Our church office is open every week, Tuesday – Friday from 9-3. You can reach Jenni in the office by phone (814-345-6500), or email at churchoffice@lansefree.org. If you would like information to be in next week’s bulletin, please have it in by 1:00pm Thursday. Last minute prayer requests need to be submitted to the office by 9:00am on Friday.

Snack and Yack
When the auditorium empties after worship, young people in grades 3-7 who heard the sermon are invited to meet in Pastor Matt’s office for a snack and a brief interactive conversation about today’s message. To help kids listen closely, they can fill out a “Snack n’ Yack Notes” handouts that are in the foyer. Parents are always welcome to join in, too! Leading this week is Keith & Heather Hurley.

Ladies’ Fellowship Hour
Ladies, join us on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am for a time of fellowship with one another, praying for one another and missionaries, and reading Scripture. All ladies are invited to attend.

Join Us at Prayer Meeting
Each Wednesday at 7:00pm, a group of Christians meet to pray and to study God’s Word in the Prayer Room. We are going through a study of the book of Psalms. Nobody is put on the spot to pray out loud, but all are encouraged to attend and help lift up the needs of our church, community, nation, and world.

Community Group
The community group meets Sunday evenings at 7:00pm in the Skacel home for fellowship and Bible study. People of all ages are welcome (including kids!). See Abe or Jordyn Skacel if you want to check it out!

Explore the Bible at Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s Word. Pick up your free copy of Acts 1-12 and join as we study this week with Session 2: Empowered. The Summer quarter resources are available in the foyer.

This Week in Kids Bible Class
What is our mission as Christians? Our mission is to make disciples of all nations by the power of the Holy Spirit. Today, the Little Learners and Bible Explorers will be studying Acts 15-18 learning about how Paul and Silas Started Churches. Resources for family worship centered on this lesson are available through the link you will receive in “The Family Table” email arriving this afternoon. For more information about this week’s lesson, check out The Gospel Project Big Picture Card for Volume 12, Unit 34, Session 2 which your family received in your mailbox.
