Church Family News

More Baptism Classes
Pastor Matt will be teaching Baptism Classes for kids on August 3^rd (Part A) and August 17^th (Part B). Please reach out to Pastor Matt if you are interested.

Upcoming Events
The Good News Cruise and Touch A Truck are coming up in a few weeks! Be on the lookout for posters to take and be spread through the community, sign-up sheets for volunteering, and letters to go to businesses for donations.

Save The Date – Fall Retreat
Join your LEFC church family for a weekend getaway September 19^th – 21^st. The Fall Retreat is for families, teens, couples, and singles! There will be teaching, fellowship, sharing meals, and lots of fun!

Directory Update
Debra Hawk was listed as Nancy Hawk in the directory. We truly apologize for this error. It has been updated in the church directory, please update your home directories.

Tech Team Volunteers
Maria Jackson is looking for a few more volunteers to help with sound and video on Sunday mornings during service. If you are interested, please let Maria or Jenni know and we will get you some training!

Food Bank Needs
During the month of July, the West Branch Food Bank is seeking donations of jelly (any type), applesauce (canned or otherwise), spaghetti or macaroni, and/or any type of soup. There is a box in the foyer to collect items.

You Matter 5K & 10Mile Ride
The Pregnancy Resource Clinic will be hosting their annual 5k walk/run and 10 Mile bicycle ride on Saturday, September 27^th. For more information visit their website scprc.com.

Growing Together

Snack & Yack
There will be NO Snack & Yack today due to the Family Bible Week Finale. It will resume next week with leaders Cody & Holly Crumrine.

Ladies’ Fellowship Hour
Ladies, join us on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am for a time of fellowship with one another, praying for one another and missionaries, and reading Scripture. All ladies are invited to attend. This coming Wednesday, July 16^th, Rebecca Forcey will be the guest speaker talking about their ministry in Mexico.

Join Us at Prayer Meeting
Wednesdays at 7:00pm, a group of Christians meet to pray and to study God’s Word in the Prayer Room. We are going through a study of the book of Joshua. Nobody is put on the spot to pray out loud, but all are encouraged to attend and help lift up the needs of our church, community, nation, and world.

Explore the Bible at Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s Word. Pick up your free copy of Psalms and join as we study this week with Session 7: God’s Deliverance. Summer resources are available in the foyer.

The Gospel Project at Home
Today, the children will be doing their final FBW lesson. However, you can continue to study at home 1 Samuel 24 learning about how David Showed Mercy. Resources for family worship and conversation centered on this lesson are available through the link you will receive in “The Family Table” email arriving this afternoon. For more information about this week’s lesson, check out The Gospel Project Big Picture Card which your child will receive at the end of class to bring home. If you are not currently receiving “The Family Table” or need assistance with accessing the family resources, please see Jenni English, Jordyn Skacel or Vicky Albert.

Youth Group
The youth group meets August through May with some summer meetups. All students in grades 7 and up are invited to come for games, snacks, and fun while studying our Bibles together. See Cody & Holly Crumrine if you would like more information. The kickoff for Youth Group will begin weekly starting August 17^th at 7:00pm here at the church.

Lanse Free Fridge
Our community fridge and pantry is open 24/7. Contributions may include fresh or frozen foods, dairy products, canned or dried goods, cereals, or prepared foods. Anyone is welcome to donate or rehome food.

Missed a Sunday? You can read, listen to, or watch the message online in multiple ways throughout the week (YouTube, Facebook, Apple Podcast, Spotify, Pastor Matt’s blog, or the LEFC website [audio, video]). Need help subscribing or finding a particular sermon? See Jenni English.

Fellowship Hall Reservations
If you would like to use the Fellowship Hall for your event, please contact Jenni English in the office to check availability and get approval.

Offering
Thank you for continuing to support our ministries and missionaries. The offering plates are available at the back of the auditorium. Giving Opportunities
Designated giving funds are open for the deaconess compassion fund to help those in need within our church family, summer camp to pay for registration fees, and a future pavilion for the Ark Park here at the church. Please mark your gifts and drop them in the offering plate.
