A Breathtaking King – 22 May 2016

Continuing our sermon series in Kings, Pastor Matt walks us through chapters 9 & 10. In chapter 9, the LORD answers Solomon’s prayer! God shows up personally and gives him both a reassurance and a warning. The rest of chapters 9 and 10 tell the story of the midpoint and the beginning of the second half of Solomon’s reign over Israel. Why is this story in the Bible? It is 1. Proof of promises kept and prayers answered. 2. A warning of the dangers of turning away, and 3. A foretaste of the breathtaking kingdom to come. Put your faith and trust in King Jesus and prepare to be overwhelmed with the breathtaking beauty of His Kingdom forever.
