Church Family News

Church Family Meal and Meeting
Stay for lunch! Today is the family meal and meeting. Come eat delicious soups, salads, and desserts with your church family. PB&J is available, as well. Forgot to bring something to share? Stay anyways! We hope everyone will come.

Annual Reports & Vision Meeting
Stay for the meeting! In addition to reviewing reports of God’s blessing on our church last year and hearing our leaders’ vision for 2025, the congregation will also have an opportunity to receive a new member, elect an additional officer, hear an exciting progress update on the Ark Park Pavilion project, and more. We have a lot planned and would love for as many members to participate as possible.

Free Fridge Volunteers
The Lanse Free Fridge is going strong as the newest ministry of our church! (An encouraging report from its first two months will be at today’s annual meeting.) A more robust volunteer base is needed to help check in on its cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the week. If this is something you would be interested in assisting with, there will be a brief meeting after church next week (February 2). Weekly commitment is 5-10 minutes. See Holly Crumrine if you have any questions.

Hazard Kentucky Missions Team
There will be a meeting held on Sunday, February 9th after service in the sanctuary for those that have been interviewed for the trip. For any questions, please see Curtis Quick.

LEFC Family Night
Join us for Family Night on February 21st from 6-8pm here at the church! Come enjoy a provided dinner as well as a game night with fellow LEFC families! We’ll have a fun time of fellowship together. We’re currently looking for someone to help provide a simple meal for the evening with funds provided by the Family Ministries Team. Interested in helping in this way? See Jordyn Skacel.

Men’s Breakfast & Fellowship
On Saturday, February 22nd there will be a men’s breakfast at 8:00am in the fellowship hall at LEFC. All men (and boys) are invited to come out, bring something to share for breakfast, enjoy some time with men sharing, and hear one of the LEFC men will share their testimony! This is a  great way to learn more about some of the guys here at the church and their history. Please see Keith Folmar or John Forcey if you have any questions.

Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir will be rehearsing on Thursdays at 7:30pm. See Amy Jo Belko to get involved.

Baby Bottle Blessings
Our church is participating in The Pregnancy Resource Clinic’s Baby Bottle Blessing campaign. If you need a bottle and didn’t get one last week, there are more in the foyer. Please fill your bottle with your extra change and bills over the next month.

Directory Information Needed
It’s time to update the LEFC Directory for 2025. If you would like added or if you need your current information/picture updated, there is a form link in the Lanse Link email and forms printed in the foyer. Please email all photos to churchoffice@lansefree.org. Feel free to see Jenni English.

You can reach out to any member for any team, however for immediate needs and concerns, see the following: Keith Folmar – Church Chairman, Trey English – Facilities Team, Darla Kyler – Financial Team, Renee Mostyn – Deaconesses, Heather Mitchell – Hospitality, and Curtis Quick – Missions.

Save The Date – Stay Sharp
Our annual Stay Sharp theology conference will be held March 10th-11th at Waterdam Church. The theme this year is “True Spiritual Warfare.” Register online by February 24th. For more information, pick up a flyer in the foyer, and see Pastor Matt.

Register for Summer Camp!
It is once again time to start thinking about summer camp at Miracle Mountain Ranch! You can register for one of their various camps, as those who sign up by February 1st will receive a discount. Camps are available starting at age 6. Visit their website (mmrm.org) to learn more about camp offerings, dates, and costs. See Marilynn Kristofits with questions or for more information!

Growing Together

Youth Group
The youth group meets on Sunday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm. All students in grades 7 and up are invited to come for games, snacks, and fun while studying the book of Acts in our Bibles together. See Cody & Holly Crumrine for more information.

Snack and Yack
There is NO Snack and Yack this week due to the church family meal and meeting. It will resume next week, February 2nd, with leaders Cody & Holly Crumrine.

Ladies’ Fellowship Hour
Ladies, join us on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am for a time of fellowship with one another, praying for one another and missionaries, and reading Scripture. They are currently studying Resisting Gossip written by our own Pastor, Matt Mitchell. All ladies are invited to attend.

Join Us at Prayer Meeting
Wednesdays at 7:00pm, a group of Christians meet to pray and to study God’s Word in the Prayer Room. We are going through a study of the book of Numbers. Nobody is put on the spot to pray out loud, but all are encouraged to attend and help lift up the needs of our church, community, nation, and world.

Explore the Bible at Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s Word. Pick up your free copy of Exodus; Leviticus and join as we study this week with Session 9: Instructions. The Winter resources are available in the foyer.

This Week in Kids Bible Class
God Guides His People. Today, the Little Learners and Bible Explorers will be studying Numbers 11-12 learning about The People Grumbled. Resources for family worship centered on this lesson are available through the link you will receive in “The Family Table” email arriving this afternoon. For more information about this week’s lesson, check out The Gospel Project Big Picture Card for Volume 1, Unit 6, Session 1 which your family received in your mailbox.
