Feeding the Faith of LEFC Families

TFT: Tiny Resources with a BIG Impact

June 22, 2025

Dear LEFC Families,

Summer is here! As your family plans for summer outings and activities, don’t forget to pencil in the various offerings of LEFC this summer! Family Bible Week, Touch a Truck, and more are coming your way soon! You won’t want to miss it!

PRC Resources

You may have heard of the Pregnancy Resource Clinic before: through their annual visit to LEFC, their banquet, baby bottle blessings, or maybe through receiving services yourself! It’s the season of new babies at LEFC, and PRC offers plenty of services for families after pregnancy, too! Maybe you’d like to learn about a variety of topics from professionals at one of their Pregnancy and Parenting Growth Nights or online courses, or need materials assistance and could utilize their Baby Boutique. We encourage you to check out all they have to offer!

Family Bible Week Registration is Open!

Family Bible Week registration is now open! Take a moment to register your child in advance to help our teachers plan well for their classes. Kids 0-18 and their families are invited to join us nightly July 7-10 from 6:00-8:30 for a free dinner along with age-specific faith-building classes and activities. Our finale will wrap things up Sunday July 13th at 10:00. Don’t forget to invite friends to come along, too!

Family Bible Week Volunteers

The sign up for Family Bible Week volunteers can be found in the church foyer. Check it out to see how you might be able to fill a need. Take a flyer to hand out or hang up in the community as well!

Touch a Truck at the Good News Cruise

The Good News Cruise will be held on August 16th, and we’ll once again be incorporating Touch a Truck for the kids. Plan to join us for the fun!

Save the Date Reminder for Fall Retreat

The date for this year’s fall retreat has been set! Save the date for September 19-21 to join us back at Seven Mountains Scout Camp for a weekend of fun, faith-building, and fellowship for the whole family. Last year was loads of fun, and you won’t want to miss it this year!

“Samuel Anointed David” Kids Bible Class Devotional

You have free access to a family devotional based on the curriculum our kids are studying each week in KBC! It’s called “The Gospel Project at Home.” Today’s Bible Study is “Samuel Anointed David” (Volume 4: Unit 10: Session 4), and the devotional can be found at this link.

Visit the Family Ministries page on our website for information about how to access The Gospel Project at Home for the first time.

And for Dessert…

Our recommendation for family discipleship this week is a collection of resources from a favorite company we’ve mentioned before: Tiny Theologians! Holly Crumrine writes:

“There are a lot of resources our family regularly uses for discipleship, and I’ve shared a lot of them since The Family Table email started 3+ years ago. I might have even referred readers to the Tiny Theologians podcast back when they were in season 1 and exploring attributes of God alphabetically. This past school year, we utilized some newer resources from the Tiny Theologians company for our boys in their homeschooling: the Tiny Apologetics workbook and the Faith Foundations workbook, both recommended for ages 8-14, as well as the Boys Who Seek God guided journal (there’s a Girls Who Seek God journal as well, though that one’s N/A for us). We also previously used their Tiny Systematics workbook.

These have been a really great way to reinforce basics of theology that we’ve covered through Bible lessons, Snack n’ Yack, and other conversations, but to have a clear arrangement of the history and thoughts that comprise Christian theology gives me a lot of peace of mind that I’m not missing anything! Look – the table of contents for Tiny Systematics includes the attributes of God, the doctrine of man, and sanctification – my kids have lessons on sanctification! The books continually point the student to the Bible and use Scripture to teach them, encouraging them to open their own Bibles, too.

The Boys Who Seek God was a great starting point for my 7 year old. The pages were smaller than the workbooks, and had short, easy lessons and prompts. He wasn’t doing a lot of independent work, and it was a gentle introduction to both solo work and studying the Bible regularly.

Their store has a sale section I would recommend checking out, as well as two Spanish language resources. I’m looking at buying a set of Prayers for Anxious Hearts cards – even though they’re modeled with an infant, the topics and prayers look relatable to middle schoolers too, imho. I hope your family finds something to learn from too!”

We hope our families eat it right up!
