The King of Rest – 11 November 2018

Our sermon series is called, “Following Jesus” because that’s what we’re learning to do in the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew is a theological biography of the most compelling Person in history–the Person of Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ has called us to follow Him and fish for more followers.

This next section of our passage flows right out of last week’s passage. Jesus has just issued an invitation to come to him. He then claims to be the Lord of the Sabbath. The Boss of the Day of Rest. The Boss of Rest. The Lord of Rest. So what do we do with this information? Believe in the King of Rest. Follow the King of Rest. Rest in the King of Rest
