Like Sheep Among Wolves – 7 October 2018

Our sermon series is called, “Following Jesus” because that’s what we’re learning to do in the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew is a theological biography of the most compelling Person in history–the Person of Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ has called us to follow Him and fish for more followers.

Matthew chapter 10 is what is often called the “Mission Discourse” or “Jesus’ Major Teaching on the Mission.” Verse 16 reads: “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” That’s quite a statement, isn’t it?
