O, Immanuel! – 14 December 2014

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, we pause from our study of Romans to focus on the coming of our Messiah. Our advent readings have been focusing on Immanuel – God with us. Jesus is found all through the Old Testament, but often in types and shadows, prefigurements and patterns. Listen to the story of King Ahaz and learn from his mistakes. Don’t shake – Stand firm, Don’t trust in yourself, but believe in Immanuel, and Don’t despair. Remember that God is with us! O, Immanuel!
