Church Family News

Communion Sunday
Today we will be passing communion plates for those partaking in the auditorium. There are pre-packaged communion elements for anyone, inside or outside, who would prefer to use them as we worship together at the Lord’s Table. We have a gluten free option for those with special dietary needs.

Take A Shell And Pray For FBW
Breaker Rock Beach Family Bible Week is coming up soon! There are shells located at the back of the auditorium, please take one with you and pray for the preparation, volunteers, and attendees of FBW!

FBW Teacher/Helper Meeting
All FBW teachers/helpers, please plan to stay for a meeting following the worship service today. We will be going over the nightly schedule, addressing any needs and tying up loose ends. Please see Vicky Albert with any questions.

Family Bible Week Food Team
The Hospitality Team is looking for volunteers in the kitchen to help prep the food, serve, and clean-up. You can also make desserts/cookies, help precook food or donate food items. See the sign-up sheets on the table in the foyer.

FBW Pre-Registration Forms
If you are interested in attending FBW or know someone who is, please take a form to fill out and return to Vicky Albert or Jenni English.

Christmas Trees Needed!
The Family Bible Week Decorators are in need of Christmas Trees to go along with this year’s majestic pine coastline!  All sizes of GREEN trees can be used. The trees will be tagged with your name and returned to you following FBW week. Please place trees (marked with your name) in the Fellowship Hall.

Special Church Family Meeting – July 14
All members are encouraged to stay after worship next Sunday for a special meeting in the auditorium to consider the next steps in the plan for building an Ark Park Pavilion, learn more information about the Community Fridge proposal, and receive updates on other ongoing and upcoming projects, events, and ministries. See Chairman Keith Folmar if you have any questions.

2025 Short Term Mission Trip
The Missions Ministry Team is trying to get a team together for a ministry trip for the summer of 2025 in Hazard, KY. We will be working alongside Reach Global Crisis Response. Dates are filling up quickly so please let Curtis Quick or Jenni English know ASAP if you are interested in going!

Giving Opportunities
Designated giving funds are open for the deaconess compassion fund to help those in need within our church family. Please mark your gifts and drop them in the offering plate.

Offering
Thank you for continuing to support our ministries and missionaries. The offering plates are available at the back of the auditorium. Gifts can also be mailed to the church or given electronically through your bank’s bill pay program or through online platforms: PayPal and Venmo. Our account address is churchoffice@lansefree.org. Church Office
Our church office is open every week, Tuesday – Friday from 9:00am – 3:00pm. You can reach Jenni in the office by phone (814-345-6500), or email at churchoffice@lansefree.org. If you would like information to be in next week’s bulletin, please have it in by 1:00pm Thursday. Last minute prayer requests need to be submitted to the office by 9:00am on Friday.

Snack and Yack
When the auditorium empties after worship, young people in grades 3-7 who heard the sermon are invited to meet in Pastor Matt’s office for a snack and a brief interactive conversation about today’s message. To help kids listen closely, they can fill out a “Snack n’ Yack Notes” handouts that are in the foyer. Parents are always welcome to join in, too! Leading this week is Pastor Matt & Heather Mitchell.

Ladies’ Fellowship Hour
Ladies, join us on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am for a time of fellowship with one another, praying for one another and missionaries, and reading Scripture. All ladies are invited to attend.

Join Us at Prayer Meeting
Each Wednesday at 7:00pm, a group of Christians meet to pray and to study God’s Word in the Prayer Room. We are going through a study of the book of Psalms. Nobody is put on the spot to pray out loud, but all are encouraged to attend and help lift up the needs of our church, community, nation, and world.

Community Group
The community group meets Sunday evenings at 7:00pm in the Skacel home for fellowship and Bible study. People of all ages are welcome (including kids!). See Abe or Jordyn Skacel if you want to check it out!

Explore the Bible at Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s Word. Pick up your free copy of Acts 1-12 and join as we study this week with Session 6: Accountable. The Summer quarter resources are available in the foyer.

This Week in Kids Bible Class
Why should we praise Jesus? We should praise Jesus for what He has done to provide for our salvation and because He will one day make all things right. Today, the Little Learners and Bible Explorers will be studying Acts 22-23 learning about how Paul Was on Trial. Resources for family worship centered on this lesson are available through the link you will receive in “The Family Table” email arriving this afternoon. For more information about this week’s lesson, check out The Gospel Project Big Picture Card for Volume 12, Unit 35, Session 2 which your family received in your mailbox.
