Church Family News

Special Church Family Meeting
All members are encouraged to stay after worship today for a special meeting in the auditorium to consider the next steps in the plan for building an Ark Park Pavilion, learn more information about the Community Fridge proposal, and receive updates on other ongoing and upcoming projects, events, and ministries. See Chairman Keith Folmar if you have any questions.

Interested in a Spikes Game?
LEFC is headed to the State College Spikes on Saturday, August 24^th! If you would like to attend, please sign up on the sheet out in the foyer with how many tickets you would like. Tickets will be $7 each. Deadline is June 30^th to sign up. Please see Bonnie Dobash or Jenni English if you have any questions.

Take A Shell And Pray For FBW
Breaker Rock Beach Family Bible Week is coming up soon! There are shells located at the back of the auditorium, please take one with you and pray for the preparation, volunteers, and attendees of FBW!

Family Bible Week Food Team
The Hospitality Team is looking for volunteers in the kitchen to help prep the food, serve, and clean-up. You can also make desserts/cookies, help precook food or donate food items. See the sign-up sheets on the table in the foyer.

Adult and Parent Classes at Family Bible Week
We will offer two classes for adults at Family Bible Week this year.  The FBW Adult Class will be studying the attributes of God. Pastor Matt says, “Come and found out what it means when Scripture says, ‘There is no rock like our God!’ and talk about how that helps us live our lives today.” Abe Skacel says, “In the FBW Parents Class, we will be exploring the spiritual foundations and purpose of family and how to integrate discipleship in the home with our kids.”

2025 Short Term Mission Trip
The Missions Team will be going to Hazard, KY the week of July 20^th, 2025. We will be working alongside Reach Global Crisis Response. Please let Curtis Quick or Jenni English know by next Sunday if you are interested in going.

FBW Pre-Registration Forms
If you are interested in attending FBW or know someone who is, please take a form to fill out and return to Vicky Albert or Jenni English.

Christmas Trees Needed!
The Family Bible Week Decorators are in need of Christmas Trees to go along with this year’s majestic pine coastline!  All sizes of GREEN trees can be used. The trees will be tagged with your name and returned to you following FBW week. Please place trees (marked with your name) in the Fellowship Hall.

Giving Opportunities
Designated giving funds are open for the deaconess compassion fund to help those in need within our church family. Please mark your gifts and drop them in the offering plate.

Offering
Thank you for continuing to support our ministries and missionaries. The offering plates are available at the back of the auditorium. Gifts can also be mailed to the church or given electronically through your bank’s bill pay program or through online platforms: PayPal and Venmo. Our account address is churchoffice@lansefree.org. Church Office
Our church office is open every week, Tuesday – Friday from 9:00am – 3:00pm. You can reach Jenni in the office by phone (814-345-6500), or email at churchoffice@lansefree.org. If you would like information to be in next week’s bulletin, please have it in by 1:00pm Thursday. Last minute prayer requests need to be submitted to the office by 9:00am on Friday.

Snack and Yack
There will be NO Snack and Yack today due to the Special Meeting. It will resume next week with Keith & Heather Hurley.

Ladies’ Fellowship Hour
Ladies, join us on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am for a time of fellowship with one another, praying for one another and missionaries, and reading Scripture. All ladies are invited to attend.

Join Us at Prayer Meeting
Each Wednesday at 7:00pm, a group of Christians meet to pray and to study God’s Word in the Prayer Room. We are going through a study of the book of Psalms. Nobody is put on the spot to pray out loud, but all are encouraged to attend and help lift up the needs of our church, community, nation, and world.

Community Group
The community group meets Sunday evenings at 7:00pm in the Skacel home for fellowship and Bible study. People of all ages are welcome (including kids!). See Abe or Jordyn Skacel if you want to check it out!

Explore the Bible at Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s Word. Pick up your free copy of Acts 1-12 and join as we study this week with Session 7: Worthy. The Summer quarter resources are available in the foyer.

This Week in Kids Bible Class
Why should we praise Jesus? We should praise Jesus for what He has done to provide for our salvation and because He will one day make all things right. Today, the Little Learners and Bible Explorers will be studying Acts 24-26 learning about how Paul Was Sent to Rome. Resources for family worship centered on this lesson are available through the link you will receive in “The Family Table” email arriving this afternoon. For more information about this week’s lesson, check out The Gospel Project Big Picture Card for Volume 12, Unit 35, Session 3 which your family received in your mailbox.
