Father’s Day Gifts
On this Father’s Day, we are celebrating all men. Gentlemen, be sure to receive your gift as you exit the auditorium this morning.
Missionary Visit – Jaroslav Elijas
Jaroslav Elijas will be visiting us on Wednesday, June 21st at 7:00pm. The Missions Ministry Team is planning a get together with him. Jaroslav will share about their work in Serbia and give us updates on their ministry. Everyone is invited to attend. Come out to hear about the work in Serbia and for an informal time of visiting and fellowship!
Cookies Needed
We are looking for several people to bring cookies to share on Wednesday, June 21st as we visit with Jaroslav Elijas. If you are willing to bring cookies, brownies, or a sweet treat to share with everyone, please sign up in the foyer or let Misty Michaels know.
Community Group
The Skacel’s will be hosting a community group that will meet Sunday evenings at 7pm at their home. This is a great way to get to know other people in the church better, and to encourage one another. In addition to fellowship, there will be time in the Word and prayer. There will be a snack to munch on as well, and kids are welcome. Please see Abe or Jordyn if you have questions or to let us know you want to be a part of the community group!
Family Bible Week
Family Bible week is coming soon! We are still in need of a teacher for the 5th-8th grade class. Materials and lesson plans are all prepared, all you need to do is present the lesson and be there for the kids during FBW. In addition, we need helpers for the 5th-8th grade and youth classes. Sign up in the foyer or see Holly Crumrine if you are able to help!
Family Bible Week Teachers’ Meeting
There will be a meeting for all FBW teachers Sunday, June 24th after church in the auditorium with Mary Beth Moslak to explain the curriculum for this year and answer any questions you may have about it.
Family Bible Week Skit
Do you enjoy acting or would like to give it a try? We are looking for teens and adults interested in acting in our fun and simple FBW skits. See Jeremiah Michaels to be involved.
Family Bible Week Food Team
The Hospitality Team is looking for volunteers in the kitchen to help prep the food, serve, and clean-up. You can also make desserts/cookies, help precook food (ground beef, pork, and frozen lasagna) or donate food items.
Good News Cruise
It’s time to start promoting our Good News Cruise. Pick up some flyers in the foyer and invite your friends and family or hang them in local businesses or your place of work.
Mens’ Restroom Project
Please excuse our dust as the work in the mens’ restroom continues. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we update this room. Men: the family restroom is open for you to use throughout this project.
Director of Family Ministry
The job description for the new part-time ministry position is posted in the foyer. If you are interested in knowing more about the vision for this new role at LEFC, talk with any of the church elders.
Snack and Yack
When the auditorium empties after worship, young people in grades 3-7 who heard the sermon are invited to meet in Pastor Matt’s office for a snack and a brief interactive conversation about today’s message. To help kids listen closely, they can fill out a “Snack n’ Yack Notes” handout. Parents are always welcome to join in, too!
Ladies’ Fellowship Hour
Ladies, join us Wednesday, June 21st at 10:30am for a time of fellowship with one another, praying for one another and missionaries, reading Scripture, and enjoying occasional snacks. Judy Owens will be leading. All ladies are invited to attend.
Join Us at Prayer Meeting
Each Wednesday at 7:00pm, a group of Christians meet to pray and to study God’s Word in the Prayer Room. Joel Michaels is leading us through a study of Acts. Nobody is put on the spot to pray out loud, but all are encouraged to attend and help lift up the needs of our church, community, nation, and world.
This Week in Kids Bible Class
What is repentance? Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus. Today, the Little Learners and Bible Explorers will be studying 2 King 12 and 2 Chronicle 24 learning how Joash wanted to obey God. Resources for family worship centered on this lesson are available through the link you will receive in “The Family Table” email arriving this afternoon. For more information about this week’s lesson, check out The Gospel Project Big Picture Card for Volume 5, Unit 14, Session 1 which your family received in your mailbox.
Explore the Bible at Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s word. Pick up your free copy of Jeremiah; Lamentations and join as we study this week with Session 3: Personal. The Summer quarter resources are available in the foyer.
Giving Opportunities
Designated giving funds remain open for our deaconess compassion fund to help those in need within our church family and a future pavilion here at the church. Please mark your gifts and drop them in the offering plate.
Sermon Publications
Missed a Sunday? You can read, listen to, or watch the message online in multiple ways throughout the week (YouTube, Facebook, Apple & Google Podcasts, Spotify, Pastor Matt’s blog, or the LEFC website [audio, video]). Audio CDs are also available in the foyer under the community bulletin board. Need help subscribing or finding a particular sermon? See Misty Michaels.
Email Subscriptions
We want everyone to know what is happening at LEFC! Are you on the “All Church Notifications” email list to get key announcements such as cancelations and other schedule changes?
