Family Bible Week
Join us this week for FBW starting with a meal at 6:00pm followed by singing and then classes for all.
Family Bible Week Registration
Stop by the table in the foyer today and register your kids for Family Bible Week. Kids, you can draw something on the table and receive a gift!
We are looking for people to stay after the service today to help set-up tables and chairs. Questions, see Pastor Matt.
FBW Food Crew
There will be a brief meeting in the fellowship hall for all who are helping with food during FBW. Questions, see Linda Carlson.
FBW Art Display
Inspired to create art that reflects a biblical teaching or a Bible story? We are displaying any art created and handed in to our FBW Artistic Director, Mary Beth Moslak.
Family Bible Week Missions Project
Our Family Bible Week Missions Project this year is for a tailoring vocational training program at the refugee camp in Malawi. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase 7 sewing machines. We are also gathering supplies to create basic sewing kits.
Here is a list of what we are collecting:
Scissors for cutting material
Measuring tape – cm/inch
Pins- preferable quilting pins
Marking pen or pencil
Thread – black and white
There are examples of what we are collecting on the table by the office door. All items should be new and unused. Thank you for participating in the project!
WILLING BUT WORRIED: How To Tell Others About Jesus Like You’ve Always Wanted To With Abe & Jordyn Skacel
August 7th August 14th August 21st
8:45am-9:45am – Fellowship Hall
We know that Christians should be telling others the Good News about Jesus, but how? What does it look like? How do I bring it up? How do I bridge the awkwardness? What if they ask a question I don’t know the answer to? This special “pop-up” class will address these questions and more. Join us for 3 weeks of practical, interactive training on not just the “why” of everyday evangelism but also the “how”.
*Classes build on one another but are designed so that you can take part in any class you can attend.
- Childcare can be provided.
- Sign-up for childcare as soon as you know that you will be coming by filling out the online form in the Lanse Link or on the small bulletin board in the foyer
Pregnancy Resource Clinic
Jenny Summers, from the PRC, would like to thank everyone for their prayers during their time of concern following the Supreme Court ruling. Pray for them as they continue to educate, encourage, and empower men and women to make informed life choices.
Interested in helping with children’s church? We are looking for one more regular classroom helper or two to three more occasional substitutes. See Pastor Matt for more details.
Ark Park Meet n’ Play
Moms and their littles are invited each Wednesday for a time to play outside and have fun together! We’ll meet at the Ark Park at 9:00am or come and go as you please. The church building will be open for restrooms and water, and juice boxes will be provided. Event is cancelled in the event of rain.
Explore the Bible at Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s word. Pick up your free copy of 1, 2 Kings and join as we continue in our study this week with Session 7: Hope.
Designated giving funds remain open for our deaconess compassion fund to help those in need within our church family, for Ukraine to help ReachGlobal minister to the refugees, and a future pavilion here at the church. Please mark your gifts and drop them in the offering plate.
