Communion Sunday

Today we will be passing communion plates for those partaking in the auditorium. There are pre-packaged communion elements for anyone, inside or outside, who would prefer to use them as we worship together at the Lord’s Table. We have a gluten free option for those with special dietary needs.

Prayer Meeting

There will be no prayer meeting this Wednesday, July 5^th. The next prayer meeting will be Wednesday, July 19^th.

Family Bible Week Food Team

The Hospitality Team is looking for volunteers in the kitchen to help prep the food, serve, and clean-up. You can also make desserts/cookies, help precook food (ground beef, pork, and frozen lasagna) or donate food items.

FBW Finale

We would like to have a variety of games set up around campus to play for the finale. If you have yard games, a whiffle ball set, or boards games that you like to share for others to play, bring them Sunday, July 16^th. Questions? See Holly Crumrine

Community Group

The Skacel’s will be hosting a community group that will meet on Sunday evenings starting July 9^th at 7pm at their home. This is a great way to get to know other people in the church better, and to encourage one another. In addition to fellowship, there will be time in the Word and prayer.  There will be a snack to munch on as well, and kids are welcome. Please see Abe or Jordyn if you have questions or to let them know you want to be a part of the community group!

Good News Cruise

It’s time to start promoting our Good News Cruise. Pick up some flyers in the foyer and invite your friends and family or hang them in local businesses or your place of work.

Mens’ Restroom Project

Please excuse our dust as the work in the mens’ restroom continues. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we update this room. Men: the family restroom is open for you to use throughout this project.

Director of Family Ministry

The job description for the new part-time ministry position is posted in the foyer. If you are interested in knowing more about the vision for this new role at LEFC, talk with any of the church elders.

Snack and Yack

When the auditorium empties after worship, young people in grades 3-7 who heard the sermon are invited to meet in Pastor Matt’s office for a snack and a brief interactive conversation about today’s message. To help kids listen closely, they can fill out a “Snack n’ Yack Notes” handout. Parents are always welcome to join in, too!

Ladies’ Fellowship Hour

Ladies, join us Wednesday, July 5^th at 10:30am for a time of fellowship with one another, praying for one another and missionaries, reading Scripture, and enjoying occasional snacks. Bonnie Dobash will be leading. All ladies are invited to attend.

The next prayer meeting will be Wednesday, July 19^th.

This Week in Kids Bible Class

What is repentance? Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus. Today, the Little Learners and Bible Explorers will be studying Zephaniah learning how Zephaniah warned of God’s people to repent. Resources for family worship centered on this lesson are available through the link you will receive in “The Family Table” email arriving this afternoon. For more information about this week’s lesson, check out The Gospel Project Big Picture Card for Volume 5, Unit 14, Session 3 which your family received in your mailbox.

Explore the Bible at Home

Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s word. Pick up your free copy of Jeremiah; Lamentations and join as we study this week with Session 5: Shapes. The Summer quarter resources are available in the foyer.

Giving Opportunities

Designated giving funds remain open for our deaconess compassion fund to help those in need within our church family and a future pavilion here at the church. Please mark your gifts and drop them in the offering plate.

Sermon Publications

Missed a Sunday? You can read, listen to, or watch the message online in multiple ways throughout the week (YouTube, Facebook, Apple & Google Podcasts, Spotify, Pastor Matt’s blog, or the LEFC website [audio, video]). In addition, parents can subscribe to “The Family Table,” a Sunday newsletter filled with useful resources for family discipleship.
