TFT: Crank It To 11!
February 26, 2023
Dear LEFC Parents,
Your kids are being discipled by something or someone all the time–by their peers, schools, and social media or by parents, their family, and church family. You have a great responsibility and opportunity to be the most important discipling influence on their impressionable young lives.
Here are a few things to know as you try to influence your kids to follow Jesus this week:
Snack and Yack – NEW!
Starting next Sunday, young people in grades 3-7 will be invited into a brief interactive conversation about Sunday’s sermon with Pastor Matt or one of the other elders. This new family ministry will occur each Sunday in March during the “coffee fellowship” time in Pastor Matt’s office.
The Gospel Project at Home
Today’s Bible Study is “God Is Good to Judge Sin” (Volume 3, Unit 10, Lesson 4). Ask your kids what they learned about that in children’s church this morning and/or do the family devotional you can find at this link.
Worldview Training for Youth
Youth group meets again tonight at 7pm! Send (or bring) your teen for a game, lesson, and hang-out time with Keith Hurley, his team, and some other teens.
And for Dessert…
This week’s resource for family discipleship is a 1-hour playlist of “Sunday Morning Songs for Kids.” We hope your family eats it up.
We think the idea of the playlist is even more important than the songs that Mrs. Howard picked out for it. What is playing in your home and car when it’s time to get ready for church on Sundays? What a great time to crank up some worship music and get everybody into the mindset!
If not these songs, which ones? Maybe ask the kids to help you build your own?
