Church Family News

  • Deaconess List for Meals: Often after a hospital stay, childbirth, or other situations that hinder one’s ability to cook we provide meals for the family. The deaconesses coordinate that effort, but to do so they need a list of everyone willing to help.  Are you willing to make or buy and deliver a meal? If so, please sign up on the list in the foyer. For questions see Renee Mostyn.
  • Snow Removal Signup: Our Facilities Team is looking for people to help maintain our walkways during the winter months. Are you able to help with removing snow and salting the sidewalks on Sunday mornings here at the church this winter? Sign up in the foyer. Questions? See Randy Albert.
  • Membership Seminar: What does it mean to be a member at LEFC? On November 14th from 9-11:30am we are holding a membership seminar here at the church for anyone interested. See Pastor Matt in you are interested in attending.
  • Operation Christmas Child: Our church is participating in Operation Christmas Child. The shoeboxes are in the foyer and will need to be returned to the church by Sunday, November 15th. Each box will cost $10 to ship. If you are interested in sponsoring one or more of the shoeboxes, mark your donation “Shoeboxes.” Questions? See Mary Beth Moslak.
  • Church Family Budget Meeting: The annual budget meeting will be Tuesday, November 17th at 6:00pm. All interested people are invited to join the Elder Board and help make the budget plans for 2027. Leaders of ministries and committees who use church funds are asked to bring or send along their ministry’s needs and recommendations to this meeting. See Cody Crumrine if you have any questions.
  • Thanksgiving Baskets: Please see the sign-up sheets as the deaconesses will be preparing 5 Thanksgiving baskets this year. All items may be brought to the church through November 22nd. Please be sure to check the expiration dates on your donations to ensure they are fresh. If you know of any families who could use a basket this holiday season, please get in touch one of our Deaconess team members: Renee, Beth, Heather H., Maria, Katie, Cindy M., Bev, Denise or Pam.
  • Christmas Presentation: On Sunday, December 20 during morning worship time, kids in Preschool – Grade 6 are invited to participate in a presentation of the Nativity Story. Practices are taking place during the first 15 minutes of regular KBC Classes on November 15, 22, 29 and December 6 & 13. The presentation will include parts depicting people and animals with costumes provided. The kids will not need to memorize any lines but will be singing one or two songs. To ensure we have adequate costumes, we ask that kids attend practices and commit to participating on December 20. Final parts/costume assignments will be sent home following KBC on November 29.
  • Four Years of The Family Table!: Last weekend, The Family Table, our weekly newsletter about family discipleship, turned four years old. Every Sunday at noon, parents, grand-parents, teachers, and others who care about the next generation receive The Family Table in their inbox. Each issue (now numbering 200+ archived on the church website) includes a weekly challenge for parents to do with their kids, news about events like the Fall Retreat, a link to a devotional that corresponds to the Kids Bible Class lesson of the week, and “for dessert,” a helpful resource recommendation. We hope that all LEFC parents will subscribe.
  • MMR Fellowship Dinner: “Dear Friends, we would love for you to join us for a special evening at Miracle Mountain Ranch as we gather to celebrate the people who make this ministry possible – you! We hope you’ll join us on November 19th. With gratitude, Donnie Rosie.” RSVP information to attend can be found on the MMR bulletin board in the foyer next to the water fountain.
  • Directory Additions & Update : Rob and Anna Clayton + Janet Nearhood – Check the Lanse Link email or bulletin for those updates.
