Little Letters- a Newsletter from Tiny Theologians

One of our favorite ministries is Tiny Theologians, as they create fantastic resources for families. We recommend you check out their website if you haven’t already. One of their resources is a free newsletter, Little Letters. This newsletter was born because Amy, the mom behind Tiny Theologians, wanted to share more encouragement with her audience. We think you might find her letters encouraging as well. Join their email list to receive Little Letters and more straight to your inbox for free!

Egg Your Yard

Support our Challenge students! Friends and family of LEFC can wake up to their own personal egg hunt on Easter morning for a suggested donation of $50 for 100 eggs or $75 for 150 eggs. You can register online with this link or by filling out a registration form on the table in the church lobby.

This Week’s Challenge: God’s Creation

Have you checked the weather forecast this week? After a cold winter, it looks like we’re in for some warm weather this week! Praise God that we will get to enjoy some sunshine! This week’s challenge is to spend a bit (or a lot!) of time outdoors in God’s creation with your children and lead them to appreciate all that He has created. During your time together, lead them to praise God for the beauty and intricate design that he has allowed us to enjoy. Thank God for some of your favorite things he has created in nature, and encourage your children to do the same. If you remember back to Family Bible Week, you’ll remember that we can see the “Bigness of God in the Smallest of Things!”

Challenge 2026

Challenge is a biennial youth conference hosted by our national denomination, the EFCA. Teens from around the country will gather to worship, learn, serve, and have a blast in Kansas City, MO this July 13-17. Registration is now open for all students grades 6 and up, including seniors. The registration deadline is quickly approaching! Talk to Cody or Holly Crumrine if interested and secure your spot by March 15th! Register via this link.

Egg Hunt at the Ark Park 2026

This year’s Egg Hunt at the Ark Park is Saturday, April 4th at 10:00am! We are currently accepting donations of candy for the eggs along with prizes. We also have a sign up sheet to volunteer during the hunt. Consider ways that you might be able to help welcome the community to our church campus to hear the Good News of Easter and enjoy a fun morning together. Drop any donations under the table in the foyer!

“Jesus Was Born” Kids Bible Class Devotional

You have free access to a family devotional based on the curriculum our kids are studying each week in KBC! It’s called “The Gospel Project at Home.” Today’s Bible Study is “Jesus Was Born” (Volume 7: Unit 19: Session 1), and the devotional can be found at this link.

Visit the Family Ministries page on our website for information about how to access The Gospel Project at Home for the first time.

And for Dessert…

Our recommendation for family discipleship this week is a brief podcast episode about why and how missions should be a part of each of our family’s lives.

Back in September, I (Pastor Matt) shared about the Everyday Dadding podcast that I had discovered. British dads Robin Barfield and Ben Putt have fun and helpful conversations about how to be a good Christian dad.

On a recent episode the guys had on Dr. Chris Howles, the director of Cross Cultural Training at Oak Hill College, to talk about embedding global missions into family life. I thought their discussion was really helpful for reminding parents of the importance of missions to every Christian. Mission isn’t something that we tack on to our discipleship. When we come to Christ, we are called to His mission which encompasses the whole world. How do we teach that truth to our kids? Dr. Chris has some ideas.

Do you have 20 minutes to give it a listen? Instead of the usual punny dad-jokes, this time they start with a hilarious limerick from Dr. Chris about a man from Peru, and then they jump right in.

I thought that the most searching point in the interview was when Dr. Chris prepared parents to be ready for a moment that might come when the Lord would impress on their child’s heart to move far away themselves to take the gospel to the world dying to hear good news. May it be so with us!
