Church Family News

Happy Mother’s Day!
Praise the Lord for our mothers! Take a moment to thank those who have given you life and nurtured your faith. On this Mother’s Day, we are celebrating all women. Ladies, be sure to receive your gift after the service today.

Pastor Matt Out Of Office
Pastor Matt will be on vacation from May 13 – May 19. If you need anything during this time, please reach out to Jenni English or Keith Folmar.

KBC Staff Meeting Reminder
KBC Staff is scheduled to meet on Saturday, May 17^th from 9:00am – 11:30am. Information and training will be provided on several upcoming additions to KBC procedures/protocol which will begin in August. Please plan to attend!

Graduation Sunday on May 25^th
Every year we set aside some time to honor those in our church family who have graduated from high school, college, or graduate school. Are you completing any type of schooling during the 2024-2025 school year? Return the Graduation Info Sheet to Jenni by today so that we can include you in our celebration.

West Branch Baccalaureate
The West Branch Baccalaureate service led by the WB Ministerium is Tuesday, May 27^th at 6:00pm at WB High School. Join them and celebrate the class of 2025.

Membership Seminar
Are you interested in learning what it means to be a member at LEFC? There will be a membership seminar on Tuesday, June 17^th at 6:30pm. Talk with Pastor Matt to take part in this seminar.

Explore The Bible At Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s Word. Pick up your free copy of Psalms and join as we study this through the Summer Quarter, which starts in June. These booklets are available in the foyer.

Church Camp Fund
Our church has registered 9 campers and 1 volunteer for camp this summer! The church pays the registration fee for each camper. If you would like to give to offset this expense, please mark your gift “camp fund” and drop it in the offering plate. It is not too late for you join our group! Please see Marilynn Kristofits to register.

Explore The Bible At Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s Word. Pick up your free copy of Psalms and join as we study this through the Summer Quarter, which starts in June. These booklets are available in the foyer.

John Walter Memorial
John Walter’s memorial service will be Saturday, May 31^st at 11:00am with a luncheon after the service. Are you planning on attending this service and staying for the luncheon? Please let Marilynn Kristofits or Jenni English know so we have a good count for preparing. Are you able to help prepare a side dish or dessert for this meal? Contact Marilynn Kristofits.

Mom’s Night Out
Moms with children in the home and those who are currently expecting are invited to Mom’s Night Out on May 16^th at 6:00pm here at the church! Mark your calendars now to join us for a fun evening out of the house enjoying conversation, activities, and plenty of snacks & desserts! Invite your fellow mom friends to come with you as well. Registration information is on the table in the foyer. See Jordyn Skacel for more information.

Men’s Breakfast & Fellowship
On Saturday, May 24^th there will be a men’s breakfast at 8:00am in the fellowship hall at LEFC. All men (and boys) are invited to come out, bring something to share for breakfast and enjoy some time with men. There are invite cards available for this event. Please grab 3 or 4, place the date on them and personally invite someone to come! See John Forcey for cards and any questions.

Growing Together

Youth Group
The youth group meets on Sunday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm. All students in grades 7 and up are invited to come for games, snacks, and fun while studying the book of Acts in our Bibles together. See Cody & Holly Crumrine for more information.

Snack and Yack
Directly after service, kids in grades 3-7 who heard the sermon are invited to meet in Pastor Matt’s office for a snack and a brief interactive conversation about today’s message. To help listen closely, kids can fill out a “Snack n’ Yack Notes” handout that are in the foyer. Parents are always welcome to join in, too! Leading this week is Keith & Pennie Folmar.

Ladies’ Fellowship Hour
Ladies, join us on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am for a time of fellowship with one another, praying for one another and missionaries, and reading Scripture. All ladies are invited to attend.

Join Us at Prayer Meeting
Wednesdays at 7:00pm, a group of Christians meet to pray and to study God’s Word in the Prayer Room. We are going through a study of the book of Numbers. Nobody is put on the spot to pray out loud, but all are encouraged to attend and help lift up the needs of our church, community, nation, and world.

Community Group
The community group meets Sunday evenings at 7:00pm in the Skacel home for fellowship and Bible Study. Adults, as well as kids, are invited to attend. If you have never attended before, see Abe or Jordyn Skacel to get their address.

Explore the Bible at Home
Many adults in our church are utilizing the Explore the Bible resources to dig deeper into God’s Word. Pick up your free copy of 1, 2 Peter & Jude and join as we study this week with Session 11: Be Equipped. The Spring resources are available in the foyer.

This Week in Kids Bible Class
God Sees and Hears. Today, the Little Learners and Bible Explorers will be studying 1 Samuel 1-3 learning about Samuel Was Born and Called. Resources for family worship centered on this lesson are available through the link you will receive in “The Family Table” email arriving this afternoon. For more information about this week’s lesson, check out The Gospel Project Big Picture Card for Volume 3, Unit 9, Session 2 which your family received in your mailbox.

Lanse Free Fridge
Our community fridge and pantry is open 24/7. Contributions may include fresh or frozen foods, dairy products, canned or dried goods, cereals, or prepared foods. Anyone is welcome to donate or rehome food.

Missed a Sunday? You can read, listen to, or watch the message online in multiple ways throughout the week (YouTube, Facebook, Apple Podcast, Spotify, Pastor Matt’s blog, or the LEFC website [audio, video]). Need help subscribing or finding a particular sermon? See Jenni English.

Fellowship Hall Reservations
If you would like to use the Fellowship Hall for your event, please contact Jenni English in the office to check availability and get approval.

Offering
Thank you for continuing to support our ministries and missionaries. The offering plates are available at the back of the auditorium. Giving Opportunities
Designated giving funds are open for the deaconess compassion fund to help those in need within our church family, summer camp to pay for registration fees, and a future pavilion for the Ark Park here at the church. Please mark your gifts and drop them in the offering plate.
