Behind the Scenes at Lanse Free Church: The Deaconess Team
The Deaconess Team is a group of ladies elected by the church family to compassionately serve the church. They visit and encourage the sick and shut-in members of the congregation and provide assistance to families in the church who are going through a financial crisis. They also provide food baskets at Thanksgiving time. The deaconesses truly work “behind the scenes.” They don’t like a lot of attention. You can always find them serving in some way: preparing the elements for the Lord’s Supper, assisting the ladies at baptisms, and even providing the occasional ride for someone to a doctor appointment. Ann Kyler, Marilynn Kristofits, Brenda Plisco, Rike DeGrasse, and Pam Weaver are on the Deaconess Team, and Charlene Ball is their coordinator. Thank these ladies and pray for them as they serve us in compassion.

Praise God! We raised $140 per missionary family during Missionary Christmas in August! Thank you for giving!
Pray for Health and Healing
Update: Ralph Magill’s recent test results were negative. Continue to pray for him as he still does not know what is causing his symptoms.
Pray for Ed & Evelyn McClure (Becky Schiefer’s uncle & aunt). Ed has Alzheimer’s disease and Evelyn just broke her femur and will be in rehab. Pray for healing for Eveyln and that Ed wouldn’t become overly agitated during this time.
Pray for Rhonda Dunkle (Nancy Morlock’s daughter) as she is waiting for test results.
Pray for Cheryl (Kathy Barkman’s sister). One of her eyes is scratched and infected.
Pray for Kathy Barkman’s mom. She has a tumor on her wrist that needs to be removed. Pray that surgery on her wrist would not be too difficult.
Pray for Leon Zelenski (Mikalah Beveridge’s uncle). He had to have his leg amputated and is struggling. Pray for him during this trial.
Pray for Gary (Tom Hampton’s co-worker). He is having surgery on September 10th. Pray that he would have peace during this time and for successful surgery.
Pray for Debbie Helms (Lonnie Kovalick’s aunt). She has been battling kidney cancer for four years and has one kidney left. She may have to start dialysis and is discouraged by this. Pray for her as she goes through this trial. Pray for healing.
